SanDisk’s new 128GB flash drive is so small that it can easily get lost in your bag pack. This tiny storage device is an upgrade to the company’s Ultra Fit series and is capable of storing up to 16 hours of full HD video in a form factor “smaller than a dime,” while offering transfer speeds of up to 130MB/s.
SanDisk says the drive is better used for expanding storage space on your laptop or tablet than being used to transfer files from one gadget to another due to its low-profile . You can simply plug the drive into your device and then forget about it (which is much better than forgetting you’ve got it in your bag at all). The 128GB Ultra Fit is priced at $119.99 and is available to buy now.
SanDisk has also showed off its highest capacity flash drive yet (the $199.99 256GB Ultra USB 3.0 drive) and a new line-up of USB Type-C portable SSDs. This makes the dual the world’s first external flash drives to work with the new, faster, reversible USB standard but SanDisk’s focus on the mass-market is a good sign for Type-C’s swift integration into the wider computing market.
