Its no surprise that Furious 8 is in the works, you just had to know this was coming. After the mega success of Furious 7 crossing $300 Million domestic mark at the box office , another Fast and Furious film is obviously expected. Furious 8 is coming April 14th, 2017. The announcement was made by Vin Diesel at Cinema Con, who is calling it Furious 8 instead of Fast and Furious 8.

Furious 8 will reportedly be set in New York City — and full cast and director have not yet been confirmed. Anyway, what’s noteworthy is that Furious 7 is the (somewhat) rare film in this day-and-age to cross $300 million+ without 3D in some countries like the US. Whether Furious 8 will mimic the success of 7 , is another story all together.
