WhatsApp chat transfers on iPhones are getting easier

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, is working on a new feature that is set to make life easier for iPhone users. The new feature will allow users to transfer their chat history from one iPhone to another without having to use iCloud.

At present, if an iPhone user wants to migrate their chat history and media to another iPhone, they need to create a chat backup and upload it to iCloud. However, the new feature, called “Transfer Chats to iPhone,” eliminates the need for iCloud altogether.

To use the new feature, all that users need to do is download WhatsApp on their new phone, register with the same number, and then scan a QR code on their old iPhone to transfer their chat history automatically. This feature is a significant advantage for users who have limited storage space on iCloud or do not want to use it for other reasons.

The new chat transfer feature is currently available to some beta testers who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app. Although it is expected to roll out to more people in the coming days, it is unclear when it will become available to regular WhatsApp users.

This development follows the recent announcement from Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company, that it is introducing multi-device login support for more than one phone.

This means that users will be able to log into the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones, instead of being limited to just one phone and multiple desktop devices. With the new feature, messages will be synced across multiple devices, including other phones. This means that even if one device is switched off, users can access the app on other devices.

This new development is exciting news for iPhone users who are WhatsApp fans. It means that they will be able to switch to a new phone without worrying about losing their chat history or having to use iCloud.

While the feature is not yet available to everyone, it is expected to be rolled out soon. In the meantime, users can take advantage of the multi-device login support, which is set to make using WhatsApp across multiple devices even more convenient.
