TECNO’s camera-centric smartphone line last made an entry into the Ugandan scene with the Camon 17 earlier this year but the company has since gone on to launch its successor in other markets but Uganda.
The time has come and TECNO is launching not 2 but 3 models of the Camon 18 including the Camon 18, Camon 18 Pro and Camon 18 Premier, with the Premier being the specced up version. All phones are an upgrade from the Camon 17’s before them in the spec department. Clearly, not a big departure but still there are noticeable differences between the models.

There are distinct features between the 3 models. The Premier sits at the upper end of the series, the Pro is in-between and the Camon 18 plays the baseline part.
Price and Availability
TECNO Mobile Uganda has kicked off the launch with a pre-sale for the Camon 18, where customers have to deposit a minimum of UGX 100,000 at selected stores. However, the full prices for each model are as below.
- Camon 18: UGX 709,000
- Camon 19 Pro: UGX 846,000
- Camon 18 Premier: UGX 1,112,000
Since the pre-launch is on up to 06th November 2021, we anticipate that the phone’s official launch will be a few days after this pre-sale window like on 08th November 2021 across all TECNO branded shops countrywide.
