    UberAIR is offering free air trips from Kampala to Jinja this weekend

    Uber isn’t done with surprises and the latest to follow UberChoma, UberKatogo et cetera is UberAIR. Not an airline but rather a new offer to have Uber Customers win themselves a trip from Kampala to Jinja this weekend through the skies.

    At least we know there is a Nyege Nyege Festival around the shores of Lake Victoria in Jinja, and it is high time Uber pulled off a surprise for the event. This is us guessing as we are used to surprises coming in terms of food delivery.

    How to win the UberAIR trip

    Step 1: Log into the Uber app between 10AM – 12PM on Saturday 8th 2018.

    Step 2: Tap on the UberAIR banner at the bottom of the screen

    Step 3: Enter your pickup point in the “Where To” field

    Step 4: Tap on “Confirm UberAIR”

    Once the request is successful, an UberX will pick you up from your confirmed pickup point upto the Kajjansi Airfield where the UberAIR will airlift you to Jinja.

    And incase you miss out on the flight, Uber will offer UberX trips to Jinja as well but they caution that you first agree to the estimated fees before you confirm your trip.

    However before you get excited, read through the fine print as Uber offers terms and conditions that will be followed for this offer.

    • The UberAIR vehicle option will only be available in specific areas in Kampala on 8th September between 10am – 12pm
    • UberAIR vehicles will be in limited supply
    • You must have a valid ID to board the aircraft. All passengers must be 18 years or older.
    • All riders must have a valid UberAIR flight pass to board the flight. Each flight pass admits only one person to the flight
    • Uber will cover the transfer cost from Kampala to Kajjansi Airfield and the flight cost from Kajjansi Airfield to the Jinja Airstrip for each person who receives an UberAIR  flight pass
    • Uber shall not be responsible for any of the passengers’ transport costs from the Jinja Airstrip to any destination
    • UberAIR flight pass will only be valid on specific flights between 10am – 12pm on 8th September 2018
    • All flights begin at Kajjansi  Airfield and end at the Jinja Airstrip.  
    • Uber is not a direct air carrier – all air services will be provided by Kampala Executive Aviaton
