    Multichoice reportedly to Supply Set-Top Boxes

    Its the era of digital migration and MultiChoice Africa has offered to supply 1.5 million set top boxes at a subsidized fee. This will facilitate a smooth migration from analogue to digital TV broadcasting.

    According to The Star, Kenya alone will require four million set top boxes for the migration. Briefing President Uhuru at State House, Mombasa yesterday, MultiChoice Africa CEO Nico Meyer said the company has opened a modern Super-Sport studio in the country.

    At a separate meeting, Uhuru held talks with African Media Initiative CEO Amadou Mahtar. Mahtar briefed the President on two upcoming major events that the organisation is planning to hold in Nairobi and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

    The events are the African Media Leaders’ Forum to be held in November this year in Addis Ababa and International Media Conference in Nairobi scheduled for March next year.
