Behold Microsoft’s Cortana app for Android

What do you do if you were software company with great apps? Just share the love to all ecosystems, And that is what Microsoft is planning to do with the release of this version of its Cortana digital assistant for Android users. Today, we get to see and use a leaked copy of the app that is circulating the Internets. The Cortana digital assistant app has been on Windows Phones and also on Windows 10 versions, so it comes as no surprise that there is now an Android version. You can access Cortana’s notebook to control information stored about you, and there’s the usual options for bringing up events, nearby places to eat and drink, news, sports, weather, and more.

Cortana for Android interface looks like a shrinked down version of Cortana for Windows 10, with a dark theme mixed with the white area for content. Although it is still in beta mode, expect some inconsistency here and there for those who are curious to try it out now. One of the main features absent from the Windows version is the ability to say “Hey Cortana” to activate the assistant, so may have to wait for that in the neat future. Other unfinished features include things like asking Cortana to send messages to contacts, but location-based reminders appear to work normally.

Microsoft bringing Cortana to rival platforms is a key part of the company’s plans to win users for its services on iOS and Android. You can download app from the source link below.
