Just the past week, Samsung launched her Galaxy A8S series featuring a distinctive “hole-punch” design for the phone’s selfie camera located at the top left of the display.

While the party is not over yet, Huawei has unveiled the Nova 4, the brand’s hole-punch device coming with a number of interesting features.

The Cameras

The Huawei Nova 4 comes in two variants, both of which bear a triple rear camera setup. One has a 48-megapixel primary sensor – a Sony IMX586, while the other has a 20-megapixel primary sensor.

Besides the primary sensor, the other two cameras include a 16-megapixel 117-degree ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel with an f/2.4 aperture for depth-sensing. These come with a single LED flash.

At the front is the 4.5mm wide display hole, having a 25-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. With such, a manufacturer can freely increase the phone’s screen size without minding about its footprint.
