These are the new MTN Smart Series phones: The MTN Shyne, Smart Buzz, Smart Mini and Smart Mega

MTN has introduced four new phones on the Ugandan market in a campaign dubbed the MTNSmartSeries. The MTN Shyne, Smart Buzz, Smart Mini and Smart Mega are something to carter for all mobile phone users. All under UGX 200,000 the phones are some of the cheapest in the industry and they make a good present for the upcoming holiday season. The MTN Shyne is the cheapest of the bunch and at only UGX 39,000 it reminds us a lot about MTN’s Kabiliti phones that super charged the company’s presence especially in rural areas back in the days. The Shyne is nothing to talk home about for hardcore smartphone users. It is basically a dumb-phone with a color screen that comes with 300 MB of data and local artist Ronald Mayinja is being used to promote it.

The SmartBuzz and Smart Mini cannot be put in smartphone territory per say. They both come with 300 MB of data valid for 30 days and for UGX 110,000 and UGX 155,000 the SmartBuzz and Smart Mini respectively can be yours. The last phone, the Smart Mega is touted as slick and chic in smartphone category, promoted my Ugandan female artist Lillian Mbabazi. It comes with 1.5 GB of data valid for 30 days and costs only UGX 185,000. All the phones are available at Jumia and in all MTN Service Centres and Dealer Outlets countrywide.
