    The slimmest smartphone now comes in a 4.75mm thick chassis

    Remember when we told you the Oppo R5 was the world’s slimmest phone at 4.85 mm thick? I guess we were so wrong. In China, the race to see who will cramp the most high spec electronic together to make the thinnest smartphone is just underway. According Engadget,  Vivo has set a new record with its X5Max for the world’s thinnest smartphone, now hitting the 4.75 mm mark beating off  Gionee’s 5.1mm Elife S5.1 and Oppo’s 4.85mm R5.

    The X5Max, is a 4.75mm-thick Android phone with great features which include:

    •   5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen
    • A 1.7mm-thick logic board
    • 5-megapixel f/2.4 front camera
    • 13-megapixel f/2.0 main camera

    Are users really craving for thinner smartphones or smartphones with better battery life?
