According to the Financial Times, Apple is gearing up to enter the home automation or smart home tech space with full force and it wants to show off how the iPhone is able to control home appliances like lighting an other security systems.All this is rumored to be shown off at its Worldwide Developer Conference on June 2.
We expect the company to allow third parties companies to design products revolving around iPhone’s home automation, of course expect Apple to have certain privacy limitations and quality checks set up in all the products. The Financial times further reports that lights may be able to automatically turn on when a paired iPhone returns to its home. Until June 2, we shall get to now more about these rumors.
On top of that, the FT notes that Apple can be vagarious and what it’ll show at WWDC next week could change. Other rumors speculate that they might show off iOS 8, that will have several new apps which include these smartphone apps. Also a new version of OS X, which is reported to look more like the iOS 7 on the iPhone and iPad.
