Want to receive emails from strangers? Try Gmail !

If you are a privacy freak using gmail, your luck is soon running out as you will no longer need someone’s email address to send them an email. Google+ users will be able to email each other according to a gmail blog released today in a new Gmail “feature” will let you simply type in anyone’s name into Gmail’s “to” field and send them an email and by default anyone on the Google+ social network can send messages to your Gmail inbox, good bye privacy indeed.

Google has taken a step further to tell us in advance that before the service goes live over the, a new setting will appear in Gmail called “Email via Google+.” It’s some kind of opt in thing (as shown above) as if you don’t want everyone on Google+ to be able to send you an email, just select “no one” or limiting the feature to people in certain circles. Please note that emails from Google+ users not in any of your circles will not hit your “primary” inbox — they’ll be placed in the new “social” tab it introduced this year.
