The Infinix S3 has landed on the Ugandan market and it’s quickly winning over the tech enthusiasts and customers alike. We previously shared our first impressions and then the review of this awesome smartphone. But as the dust settles and the reviewers put the last full stops on their reviews of the Infinix S3, one central question remains. Is it worth spending your money on this phone? Well, I’ll share top reasons that make the Infinix S3 a must buy.
1. The front Selfie camera.
The front camera or most preferably called the selfie camera is the most potent feature on this phone. Its 20MP sensor beats many of the competing devices hands down especially in low light conditions where it produces very detailed selfies. There is also front dual LED lights that make for even clearer selfies in dark environments. Only a few phones shoot better selfies than the Infinix S3 especially at its price range.
2. Spectacular Full Display.
Infinix’s first attempt to an 18:9 display gave birth to a perfect full display smartphone with good screen to body ratio. The display is a 5.65 inch HD screen which provides enough real estate to multitask. It also has NEG glass protection. What’s even more appealing is the ability to clearly read even in direct sunlight. The viewing angles are great and the display is very vivid.
3. Face ID.
A simple update as soon as you power on your Infinix S3 gives it face ID capabilities. This means you’ll have the cool futuristic way to unlock your phone in just a blink of an eye. Face ID is enabled by the front facing camera. As soon as the camera recognises your face, the device is unlocked. As simple as that.
4. XOS 3.0 and Android 8.
Infinix S3 comes with XOS 3.0 and Android 8 out of the box. XOS is Infinix’s in house skin on top of Android. XOS 3.0 brings enhanced security for content safety, bold style for unique personalization and greater efficiency for life management. You enjoy better flexibility and get access to more dynamic features like multi-accounts, OTG support and device tracking as seen on Infinix Zero 5.
5. Snapdragon Processor.
The S3 sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 that clocks at 1.4GHz. It delivers a decent performance and you won’t need to worry about the phone freezing. It is the first Snapdragon processor in an Infinix phone and obviously a start of something beautiful. The processor uses a helping hand of 3GB of RAM to keep things smooth.
6. Long battery life.
The Infinix S3 is a full blown power house with its 4,000mAh non removable battery. You can easily go a full day with heavy usage on the Infinix S3 giving you care free usage as you enjoy the many features it brings to you. Battery running out shouldn’t be one of your worries as long as you buy the Infinix S3.
7. Ample storage.
With all the above specifications of the Infinix S3, the other important feature is Memory. The internal Memory of the Infinix S3 is a whopping 32GB, which is almost flagship territory. The memory can be further expanded via microSD card up of up to 128GB. With all this space, you could store so many pictures, install many applications and store all your favourite jams.
8. Fast Fingerprint scanner.
The rear mounted intelligently placed finger print scanner is one of the fastest in the budget smartphone segment in Uganda. It reads your print almost as soon as you place the finger on top of the scanner. This feature also improves the security of the data you store on the phone and you can’t worry about anyone snooping around as long as you have enabled the fingerprint security. All power is on your finger. If you have the phone in your hand, your index finger finds it easily enough by touch, you don’t have to turn the phone round to locate it.
9. The curved design.
The poly carbonate curved design that has the looks of a metal is a snug fit in the hand. It makes the Infinix S3 superbly comfortable. And it doesn’t hurt the look either – the curved corners of the phone really make the S3 stand out from the crowd. The phone looks fabulous, when you wipe it free from all the fingerprints.
10. The affordable price.
The Infinix S3 retails at UGX 685,000, which makes it one of the cheapest phones running Android 8. Having a 20MP low light selfie camera, 32GB storage, 4,000mAh battery, infinity display, 13MP rear camera and so much more at such a price is a complete steal. This makes the Infinix S3 one of the most affordable feature packed smartphones available in Uganda.
Each of us has different needs when it comes to smartphones, which is a great thing about the Android platform and its ‘Be Together, Not the Same’ campaign slogan. The Infinix S3 cuts well across all the imaginable features anyone would want in a smartphone. It is a good choice if you want great selfies, long battery life, Android 8, fast processing and spacious storage.
