Ugandans no longer need a credit card or complicated international websites to book flights. MTN MoMo has officially launched Travel by MoMo, a new digital platform that lets users search, compare, and pay for flights directly from the MTN MoMo app using mobile money.

The service, launched on 21 July 2026 in partnership with Next Travel, is designed to make air travel more accessible to millions of Ugandans. Prices are displayed in Uganda Shillings, and the entire booking process — from browsing options to completing payment — happens seamlessly within the familiar MoMo environment.

Many Ugandans have faced barriers when trying to book flights: switching between multiple booking sites, dealing with foreign currencies, and lacking convenient payment options. Travel by MoMo removes these hurdles.
