    Huawei Digital Power holds FusionSolar Partner Summit in Uganda

    Huawei Digital Power recently held its FusionSolar Partner Summit in Kampala, Uganda, under the theme “Lighting Up a Greener Africa.” The event aimed to bring together Huawei Digital Power channel partners to release its latest sustainable energy solutions into the Ugandan industry.

    The summit highlighted Huawei’s commitment to providing full-scenario solar solutions and its vision for a greener future through innovative technologies and strategic partnerships.

    Huawei’s Vision for a Greener Africa

    Mr. Sunrise Xie, Managing Director of Huawei Uganda, emphasized Huawei’s position as a leading industry supplier of full-scenario solar solutions. He noted that Huawei’s Digital Power brings valuable additions to the transformation of the energy industry by integrating electronic and digital technologies. 

    This integration enables the traditional solar energy industry to be more efficient and intelligent, leveraging Huawei’s innovations in power electronics, thermal management, power storage, and Cloud and AI.

    Olivier, CEO of Huawei Digital Power Eastern Africa Region, discussed the significance of carbon neutrality and intelligence in leading humanity towards an era of ecological civilization. 

    He highlighted the continuous improvement in photovoltaic (PV) generation efficiency and lower prices, which will bring about the era of “PV+ Storage parity.” This shift will make PV + energy storage solutions (ESS) the most economical and universal form of power.

    Huawei’s Ecosystem Partner Policies

    Huawei Digital Power released its channel partner policy, which is based on four key measures: Profitability, Simplicity, Enablement, and Ecosystem. These measures aim to secure the profitability of partners, simplify policies and processes for easier cooperation, improve partner capabilities continuously, and invest in ecosystem development.

    Nick Lusson, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power Eastern Africa Region, outlined trends in the global smart PV industry, including the growth of smart string inverters. Huawei is the principal promoter globally for smart string inverters and has committed to increasing research and development (R&D) investment in smart PV to bring low-carbon and cleaner green energy to more people, families, and organizations.

    All-Scenario Smart PV+ESS Solutions

    The summit introduced Huawei’s All-Scenario Smart PV+ESS Solutions, which cater to various sectors:

    • Residential Smart PV Solution: Optimizes energy yield, storage, consumption, and safety to ensure electricity self-sufficiency.
    • Commercial & Industrial Smart PV Solution: Offers energy storage products, such as LUNA2000-200KWH, for commercial and industrial users, featuring security and efficiency, simple O&M, and added power revenue.
    • Utility Smart PV&ESS Solution: Employs AI + grid forming technology to create intelligent PV + ESS generators, addressing weak power grids in Africa and serving as an optimal choice for large-scale bases.

    Several partners shared their energy experience and notable projects since cooperating with Huawei, highlighting the success of their partnership and the benefits of Huawei’s premium product solutions and extensive channel policy.
