Mobile motor third-party insurance will ensure that people are able to pay their insurance premium using their phones. IRA Uganda set up an anti-insurance fraud unit and has been receiving many claims that require investigations. In this process, they discovered that there was a black-market that were making fake MTP stickers and selling to unsuspecting drivers. The issue comes in when an accident happens and the driver goes to make a claim, only for IRA to discover that the MTP sticker is not genuine.

Such issues gave birth to the New Motor Third-Party Mobile Payment platform IRA Uganda envisions will help to cut down on a number of forged MTP stickers, most of which are used by hit and run motorists.
