Unannounced Sony Windows 8 convertible, shows off slim design in leaked video

Sony appears to be ready to refresh its range of VAIO Duo Windows 8 ultrabooks with the launch of a new slimmer 13-inch model. A leaked internal training video from UK retailer Dixons shows what appears to be Sony’s new Surface-like ultrabook hybrid, which features the same backlit keyboard and “Surf Slider” hinge as its smaller sibling, but may double its battery life, lasting for up to 10 hours between charges.

It’s powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, includes 4GB RAM, a 128GB SSD, and features Sony’s new Triluminos display technology. According to the video, Sony will also include NFC, ClearAudio+ sound technology, and an 8-megapixel Exmor RS front-facing camera. With Taiwanese technology show Computex not far away, we may see Sony’s Windows 8 hybrid confirmed in the coming weeks.
