Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan confirmed to Wired that the PlayStation 5 will launch in the Holiday of 2020. That will put it right up against Xbox’s “Scarlet Project”, the unofficial name of the next Xbox that is set to be launched in the holiday of 2020 too.

Sony said the next generation of consoles will be called the PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 has been designed as a next-generation console in order to improve and deepen the immersion of players when playing games, and the new handles bring a reimagined touch.

The new controller for PlayStation 5 has two key innovations that is the tactile feedback replacing the “rumble” technology. With a touch, you can really feel a wider range of feedback, so hitting the wall of the car feels very different from tackling the ball on the football field. You can even feel all kinds of textures as you walk through the grass or in the mud.

Another stunning innovation is the adaptive trigger, which has been incorporated into the trigger button (L2/R2). Developers can program the resistance of triggers to make you feel like drawing bows and arrows or speeding up the touch of an off-road vehicle on rugged terrain. Combined with tactile sensation, you can produce a powerful experience and better simulate a variety of movements.

Other confirmed features include and the ability to install specific portions of games via the SSD. The PlayStation 5 will be 10 times faster than the PS4 Pro ain’t that exceedingly exciting. This will be a massive update, well then we all can’t wait to try it.
