I have found myself buying more voice call bundles of late than internet bundles partly because I’ve gotten a cheaper reliable internet provider, but since I spent money on voice minutes almost weekly got me thinking whether there could be a better option out there.
I’ve taken the liberty to curate and compare the list of top voice bundles from the top telecom companies in Uganda. You can take the position to choose which one is the best option for you, the choice of choosing a network depends on many reasons depending on the number of friends and potential business partners you can reach via phone.
Africell Uganda Voice call bundles
Africell Uganda is pretty much the leaders when it comes to giving their customers options for their call bundles. They have a fleet of packages can choose from, as of 2019 they have close to eight daily call bundles which customers can choose from.
They have got an unlimited daily packages called Paka Boom and Tokota at UGX 1,000 for unlimited units on Africell to Africell calls which to me is the best option out there. One of the other formidable packages they have is the international call rates which are by far the cheapest on the market.

MTN Uganda
MTN Uganda doesn’t boast many options when it comes to voice call bundles but being that they have got the biggest portion of their market share their customers always enjoy what they have. When it comes to the daily voice call bundles, they have a few options which you can choose from, unlike Africell which sell cross-network units MTN Uganda strictly have bundles for MTN to MTN network only.
What is really helpful is the PakaPaka minutes option which is tailored according to your spendings on Airtime. To buy the PakaPaka dial *160*1# and for normal voice call bundles *160*2#.

Airtel Uganda
Airtel’s tag line of being the smartphone network shows a telecom company fully dedicated to providing competitive voice call bundles slightly below what the market is offering. This move won for them more customers before the internet became a thing and luckily they are reversing the same strategy for the data wars.
Despite all that, they have a bunch of voice call bundles which customers can choose from but the friendly package which commands is the Kyabise Combo which houses three services in one for a single price. They come available for a single day, weekly and monthly, you can dial *149# to buy voice call bundles from Airtel.

At the end of the day, choosing the best is up to the users, it all comes down to simple things like affordability (pricing), great coverage among other reasons. Leave us a comment below and tell us who you think as the best voice bundles.
