The dark mode option has silently become the growing trend among app developers as the feature appeals to a great number of users who are looking to protect their eyes while going through their smartphones in dimly lit environments, such as before bed time

LinkedIn’s under development plan was revealed by tech blogger and white-hat hacker Jane Manchun Wong, who is known for uncovering upcoming features by social media apps and other websites.

In her latest discovery with LinkedIn, Wong said on her blog post that LinkedIn’s plans are still in an early stage of development as only certain parts of the app have been redesigned to support the new features. “The time it takes to develop and release experimental features as this varies,” Wong said.

If confirmed, LinkedIn will be added to the growing list of companies to offer the dark mode option to its users. Popular apps and social media sites like Twitter, Telegram and even YouTube now let users opt for a dark display.
