The Phantom 9 is the latest release off Tecno mobile’s Phantom flagship series. It comes after the Phantom 8 released back in 2017 and it comes with a number of unique and trendy features – that we have fallen in love with.

Phantom 9 AMOLED Screen
The device sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch cut-out and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen is appealing and the deep blacks are clearly visible when watching content, to an extent that you might assume the phone is completely off when a black scene surfaces on its screen.
128 GB internal storage
If you love having enough space on your phone, the Phantom 9 could easily win you over. In this highly digital era, where documents and possessions are typically in soft copy and transferred over apps, you can’t resist a 128 GB offer for internal storage.
With a large storage space as such, you can take as many photos as you want off the triple camera array on the device; you can record videos and swiftly transfer them about; and can be sure to always have your documents with you on the move.
Speed and performance
The Tecno Phantom 9 runs on an Octa-core MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 SoC clocked at 2.35 GHz. This is built together with a PowerVR GE8322 GPU, powered by 6GB of RAM. This gives it a really fast feel when using it and can feasibly exhibit this during gaming and internet use.
For the flagship that it is, we believe the combination between the RAM and internal storage does suit it and gives it the premium status it deserves.

Security
The Phantom 9 has a really secure interface that can guarantee safety of both the handset and its contents. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, one you won’t find on any other Tecno smartphone yet, as well as face unlock feature – all to top up on the standard PIN, Pattern, and Password security that comes along.
For a premium smartphone with a flagship status, Tecno scores top points on this category. We can only hope that the passes can not be fooled, at least we did not have any incidents of a wrong fingerprint accessing the device. The slight disappointment was the longer time it takes to register a fingerprint.
Artificial Intelligence
The handset is intelligent, given the AI inserts across various departments including the cameras, the battery, the performance, and even the security itself. For instance there is an AI element aimed at mitigating battery drain using smart power-saving based on your phone usage patterns.
Phantom 9 Price
You can get the Tecno Phantom 9 at UGX 919,000; a figure below the million mark! If you weigh in the good you can get out of the device, you are better off with it at the price that with a more expensive phone with disappointing specs.
