How to know your UNEB results with and without sending an SMS

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) releases examination results every year, and when they are out, the excitement and anxiousness can not be held back. It is evident with how much last year’s candidates are eager to know these results, and how schools are putting up parties to celebrate the success.

Unlike in the past, when it would take ages for one to know their performance, an advance in technology now allows for instant knowledge. This applies to Primary Leaving Exams (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Advanced Certificate of Education (AUCE).

    Via SMS Portal

UNEB has put in place various platforms for ease of access. Schools can now download their student’s results from the UNEB portals, and students can as well know how they performed by sending an SMS of their index number to 6600.

If you do not want to travel to your school to know your results or to spend airtime while sending an SMS, you can opt for one of these alternatives.

    Via UNEB eReg Portal

UNEB has a database of the 2018 UCE results available on its e-registration platform and you can get to search for your results, or anyone else’s, with just an index number needed.

Visit the UNEB eReg Portal, and select Results. You will be redirected to a page that has a UNEB 2018 Results header. From here, enter your Index Number and tap Search.

Your results will be displayed in at most 5 seconds.

    Via Government Citizen Interaction Centre

By calling 900 toll-free, you can get to talk to a service attendant who will ask for your index number, and in turn give you your results as they are. You should have a pen and paper next to you to write down the details.
