How about an iPhone with 3 rear cameras? Apple is bringing some

For a while, smartphone trends and makes have been highly determined by what Apple, Huawei and Samsung do with their flagships, given their market share dominance.

At least we know it well that the notch was an iPhone X invention, just as the edge to edge display has been a norm for Samsung flagships as it spread out to other brands. But, who knew it that the iPhone would raise the bar to bring with it 3 rear cameras? – maybe competition did!

Apple is reported to be working on an iPhone with three rear cameras for this year, and reports claim that the next iPhone could include three 12-megapixel rear lenses.

The most recent of iPhones have dual camera set up, so the additional third lens is to help achieve iPhone’s 5x zoom. Reports state that it will improve zooming capabilities and capture a larger field of view. Probably, it will have more pixels which will allow for greater editing of photos and videos.

Plus, this new camera will assist in bringing closer Apple’s plans for augmented reality. At least, the company has been striving on the same for the iPad.

2019 iPhones

You may be wondering what exactly the company plans to release this year, but reports suggest a 3-phone lineup as direct successors to the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. One thing that is more likely is that the triple-camera layout could be limited to the premium iPhone.

On these devices, Apple is predicted to be switching from the current Lightning port to USB-C, just like it did on the iPad Pro last year.

Since Apple is known to release its new iPhones around September, it is enough time to get to know more details. We are still waiting for a foldable phone announcement but, an iPhone with three cameras will definitely be the global birth of all triple-camera phones.
