The S10 is rumoured to be the stamp to the hole-punch on flagships.

The release of a smartphone, especially a flagship, comes with a lot of anticipation. And, the build up to the launch date is always driven by rumors and leaks whether intentional or the opposite.

Among this year’s big announcements could be on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+, devices rumored to be launching at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress this February 2019.

The Galaxy S gathers a lot of talk, and indeed there has been. This year’s is the 10th anniversary release; and like Apple did with the iPhone X, it won’t be a surprise for Samsung to deliver the exceptional.

From the thought of an in-display fingerprint scanner, to a possible movement to five cameras, with three on the rear and two on the front. The rumors are quite wide, with only patience keeping us at rest.

Other leaks indicate embedded cameras under the display for an Infinity-O display. This directly rhymes with the recently launched Galaxy A8, which comes with the display and a hole-punch.

And with Huawei’s Nova 4 also depicting a similar design, you can’t fail to conclude that 2019 is the year of the hole-punch.

Even Blass, a re known tipster tweeted about the incoming flagship indicating that it will allow users “to wirelessly charge other compatible devices like handsets and watches” by placing them on the handset’s chassis.

This year’s Galaxy flagship is anticipated to come in three variants: The Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10 Lite; with a rumored 5G version separate.

The S10 is code-named Beyond 1, and is likely to be the same size as the Galaxy S9, but with slimmer bezels. It’s expected to have a 6.1-inch screen and one front-facing camera.

The S10 Plus is code-named either Beyond X or Beyond 2. It will have the largest screen, probably a 6.4-inch display, and will have about three to four rear cameras, two front-facing cameras and a big battery.

The Galaxy S10 Lite version is most likely going to be the cheapest version, with a bezel-free display, and Infinity-O display.
