By that time, the largest pediatric hospital in East and Central Africa had only 5 way back and due to improved services after embracing Kranium healthcare, the hospital now has more than 15 clinics across the country.

After becoming a success with Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital, the system was later adopted by other hospitals like St Francis Hospital, Kasarani, M.P Shah Hospital Nairobi, Tenwek Hospital Bomet, and the largest privately-owned hospital in East Africa, The Nairobi Hospital, among others.

In 2015, TA decided to cater for small health providers by introducing a standardized Public Cloud of Kranium, where smaller health facilities subscribe the system and pay a monthly fee for usage. Today hospital like Meridian Equator Hospital and 15 Meridian Medical Centers run their complete operations from The Kranium Cloud.

Unlike the health fate in Uganda, Mr Siddhartha Ray, Business Development Manager of Healthcare Practices, says the paperless system saves time and money, increases accountability and efficiency through automating processes in a health facility. Therefore, It’s stand in Uganda would highly impact the state of health services with a much smarter approach

Introduction of Kranium Healthcare system in Uganda:

During a closed door session, Mr Ray revealed that they are working closely with some of the prominent health facilities in the country and by 2019 the healthcare system will be rolled out to some health facilities in Kampala.

Mr. Ray further said with such a system, the management’s vision for Quality Health Delivery will be achieved.

“Healthcare isfrustrated by accountability issues, poor service delivery, and time wastage aswell poor record keeping for patients. Kranium is here to solve all thoseanxieties. Uganda as a country, we are still on a basic level of healthcare delivery; while in hospital patients are not sure of where to go for a particular treatment, where to find the necessary drugs just to mention but a few.”

    Kranium System capabilities

The Kranium Healthcare System was built on a shine a security platform and patients’ data is a revolution and technically as per the product improve every. Additionally, Kranium is able to track health and drug stock information through its EMR. AnEMR is a systematized collection of patient and that might-stored health information in a digital archive, except that a centralized database would be needed to achieve the system goals.

Nonetheless, as soon as the Kranium health system is applied in select health facilities, the smart health dream in Uganda will no longer be a myth but a futuristic achievement given the rate of startups like MScan coming up with new award winning solutions
