Music streaming service, Spotify, has made updates to its Premium service to offer subscribers a “more personal and intuitive experience”. Three updates have been made to the service including a simplified navigation, personalized search, and new artist radio playlists.
The tabs at the bottom of the app have been cut from five to three to help people navigate more easily and quickly find what they’re looking for.
The three are: Home which will give subscribers recommendations on what to listen to; Search for new discoveries; and Your Library to allow for access to favorite songs, artists, playlists, and podcasts.
The redesigned Search page has been turned into a one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and it will be a guide to the subscriber, whether they know what they’re searching for or want to explore something new.
If you are the kind that wants to stream or listen to a playlist based on one of your favorite musicians or songs, you can simply search for it and start listening to it on the new Artist Radio playlist option.
Here, you will have an endless listening stream personalized to your own musical taste. Spotify says that this will be updated regularly to “keep things fresh”, and you can as well choose to download it and play while offline.
These updates to Spotify Premium have begun rolling out to all Premium subscribers on iOS and Android globally.
