Samsung launches Galaxy Tab 3 Kids

I can’t say I never saw this coming as Samsung clearly wants to get users hooked on Galaxy devices in any age bracket, and so today they have announced the Galaxy Tab 3 kids — a child-friendly tablet with bright colors, chunky case and big handle bundled with a range of pre-loaded educational apps.

Okay lets not expect flagship tablet features, According to Samsung Tomorrow it will be a 7-inch 1024×600 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.1 it’s obvious the bright colors are used to amaze and attract the kids.

In usual Samsung tradition, expect the tablet to be full of features which include: “Kids’ World,” “Kids’ Video,” “Kids’ Camera,” “Kids’ Gallery” and “Kids Store” — which I highly predict will be for purchasing apps and other content, not children. A built-in time management capability also allows parents to control how long kids use the device.

Back to the hardware side  there is an optional “Kids Case” for the tablet, which features large handle which also doubles as a stand, and a capacitive “C Pen” for drawing on the device.

We have no details on pricing, tough we estimate a $200 range but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is expected to arrive in South Korea in September, before arriving in China, Europe, the U.S., Africa, South America and South East Asia at a later date.
