Tecno launched the Spark 2 a few days back and we got a chance to have the device in our keeps. The Spark 2 represents a new dimension of bright photography and a beautiful bezel-less design. It packs the latest Android software and HiOS v3.3 for a fast, reliable and secure user experience. Another day, another Android device on the market. We shared our first impresions of the Spark 2. But what sets the Tecno Spark 2 KA7 apart from the rest? We shall break down the Tecno Spark 2 unique features for you below.
6 inch HD+ bezel-less full display.
This year, the odds fell out with smartphone bezels – companies have been killing them off left right and centre. Tecno followed up the Camon CM with other bezel-less devices. From the Camon X and X Pro to the all new Tecno Spark 2.
The Spark 2 also gets the minimal bezel treatment – the word minimal being the key point here. It’s not nearly as edge-to-edge as the Samsung Galaxy S9 but that’s excusable given the phone’s price point.
The 6 inch display follows the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio makes the phone an attractive proposition for multimedia junkies. With this amount of screen real estate, watching videos and playing games is a joy. The display is bright enough at 500nit and reading in direct sunlight doesn’t require that much effort. The Spark 2’s display has a resolution of 1440*720 pixels. Therefore, you can enjoyed uncompromised high-definition content.
The display has good colour rendering and objects appear vivid like a Disney animation. You can adjust brightness, font size and eye-care settings to further soothe reading experience.
8MP front + 13MP rear Bright Cameras.
Tecno has mastered the art of photography with its smartphones. The Spark 2 falls out of the camera centric Camon series but it has serious photography on its CV. Both cameras of the Spark 2 take bright, detailed and colourful photos.
The 13MP AF rear camera is assisted by a Triple LED flashlight that illuminates dark environments for clear photos even at pitch black. It is quite intelligent when capturing colours and the dynamic range is great.
The front camera borrows the bright camera wizardry of the rear camera. The 8MP camera takes bright selfies that scream out many details.
Both cameras record 1080p videos with rich details and sound and all have multiple shooting modes that are easy to use.
Mixed Flash 2.0
Mixed Flash means the simultaneous use of both Screen flash and Dual front LED flash to illuminate the face as you take night selfies. This results to clearer and more detailed selfies than using only the front LED flash.
Mixed Flash is on by default but if it’s turned off, it can be turned on by clicking the camera settings and turning screen flash on. It is a really sweet little addition that will make a huge difference by lighting yo selfie game.
Face ID on Tecno Spark 2.

The front 8MP camera gives you freedom to add bokeh effects to your beautiful selfies. Sometimes ugly backgrounds get in the way of taking selfies. Of course you wouldn’t want to share a selfie on your social account with an embarrassing background.
The Spark 2’s front shooter has portrait mode that can add bokeh effects to blur out the background and put the photo subject at centre stage. This will make for great looking selfies ? and save you from ugly backgrounds. Sometimes software induced portrait mode doesn’t deliver the required results.
