    You can now make cashless payments at Vodafone stores

    As the world bends towards cashless payments and almost all the banks issuing their VISA debit card services to the Ugandan banking populous, you can now pay for your  data and airtime bundles at any Vodafone stores. The idea is to be able to pay for your goods and services without cash. The carrier has partnered with local banks to accept VISA card payments at their Point of Sales (POS) Terminals in their stores, now all it takes to recharge your Vodafone account is just a “swipe” away.

    The point of sale terminals that Vodafone stores are similar to what we see in supermarkets and other merchant and retails stores around Kampala– and they serve one purpose to help complete transactions. It is the point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or after provision of a service. After receiving payment for your desired Vodafone service, the Vodafone shop merchant will also normally issue a receipt for the transaction. Usually the receipt is printed, and if your bank supports it, you will receives an SMS informing you of the amount of money that been deducted from your account.
