Do you have an iPhone and hate the Apple Watch? No need to worry, Google is here to open up more options for you. After several rumors : the company has officially announced that Android Wear smartwatches now work with iOS . Of course expect some hurdles. First of all you must be using i)S 8.2 and above this means only iPhone 5 onwards, next this app only works with the very latest in Android Wear watches. The initial watch to be supported is the new LG Watch Urbane, but some have reported to have their Moto 360 watches work with their iPhones. Google promises more Wear devices, including upcoming watches from manufactures like Huawei and Lenovo/Motorola.
With Android Wear on iOS, you’ll get notifications from your favorite Google services like Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Now, as well as Apple’s Calendar, Google Fit, the weather, alarm, agenda, Translate and so forth. It’ll work with voice queries and you can change the watch face just as you can with the Android app.Google says, that all this works out of the box, as you don’t need to have any of these apps installed. All third party app notifications that show up on your iPhone will also show on the watch. Google is slowly rolling out on Apple’s App Store.
