Apple CEO Tim cook today confirmed the death of the much-loved 13 year old iconic MP3 player; the iPod Classic. The company quietly stopped sale of the music play and this doesn’t come as a surprise to us, as we’ve previous written and predicted the death of the iPod. Tim Cook explained at the Wall Street Journal Digital Event on stage that the company decided to defer its revolutionary device — as it couldn’t get the parts any more. He further said that Apple no longer had access to the components necessary to build the 160GB iPod classic.

To us this sounds like a scape goat reason to stop the sale of this device Apple products like the iPhone or even the other iPod devices do the same thing. You’d imagine Apple can get want it wants from these manufacturers  if it really pushed for them. The company is now embarking on future products like the Apple Watch and may be a real Apple TV set in the near future.
