SMSJAJA.COM one of Uganda SMS based company and close partner at techjaja, was over the weekend nominated for the 2014-2015 Uganda Responsible Investment Award as the Best Innovative and Reliable Messaging Company in Uganda. The company CEO, JP. Ssemyalo was honored on 27th June 2014 at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala during a high level ceremony by H.E the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Different individuals, companies and institutions in different categories including; Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, the Governor of the central Bank, Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebire, Standard chartered bank and Bemuga Clearing and Forwarding etc were also recognized.
Here to fight Spam SMS
The company controls over 70% of the BulkSMS market share in Uganda with over 5000 active users. When interviewed, The CEO Smsjaja mentioned of how he started the company and how his major goal was to change the messaging industry in Uganda. ‘Smsjaja is the first BulkSms company in Uganda to design an application that blocks all spam messages, we designed this application because of the cry from the general public of unsolicited messages. We shall keep being innovative in order to provide a platform that makes it easy for any SMS to conveniently and affordable follow their customers and at time from anywhere the CEO said.
