This smartphone could be Motorola’s big break into the emerging markets

First was the Moto X, then the Moto G but both those phones were not low priced enough to penetrate emerging markets. As we wait for the next iteration of the Moto X, this leaked Moto E could be the company’s first ultra-budget device since Motorola was bought by Lenovo from Google. We expect this phone to cost way below $100 so as to be less than the price of the Moto G, Motorola’s  mid range device that cost $200 at launch.

According to Brazilian retailer FastShop where the image above first leaked, the Moto E will have the following specs:

Motorola has an event next week 13th May and we are yet to see how this device will be received in emerging markets.
