    Uganda’s TV digital migration begins today

    According to a report in the daily monitor,  the Uganda Communications Commission will today switch off TV and radio signals in a move to migrate from the analogue system to digital transmission.

    There will an interruption in the broadcasting signals for three days starting from  8am today until Monday 6pm to allow the nation’s broadcasting service UBC, install the digital terrestrial television broadcasting equipment to enable the migration from analogue to digital broadcasting.

    All TV subscribers without pay TV subscription on platforms like Zuku, DSTV, GoTV  will be affected.
    WBS, The East African, Urban, CCTV Citizen, ITV, Top Radio, NBS, NTV, Light House, Channel 44, Bukedde, Record and Top TV. Others are: BBC, East African, Chinese Radio International, Sanyu FM, and Super FM are the stations that will be affected.
