    The Samsung Galaxy Mega lands in East Africa retails at $400

    Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Mega Smartphone of the Eastern Coast of Africa. The Launch took place in Nairobi, Kenya.

    The humongous Smartphone balances optimal viewing experience on a 5.8-inch HD screen, providing another choice to customers’ varying lifestyles.

    As reported by Kenya’s Capital FM Samsung Electronics East Africa Chief Operating Officer Robert Nigeria says the Samsung Galaxy Mega Smartphone is set fulfil the growing demand for Smartphone with a larger screen size.

    “The quality and quantity of multimedia that can be accessed online has drastically improved over time and has contributed to the growing demand for Smartphone which provide a good viewing experience,” he said.

    The galaxy mega is light and thin for portability and easy, convenient mobile phone use.

    “With a 5.8 inch HD Super Clear LCD screen with landscape mode support, the Galaxy Mega enables an exceptional widescreen view for applications including web browsing and video,” he explained.

    The phone is also equipped with an enhanced 8 mega pixel, rear-facing camera a 1.9 mega pixel front-facing camera along with a variety of camera modes.

    Nigeria said that the phone is ideal for Smartphone enthusiasts who want a premium viewing experience coupled with multitasking capabilities.

    “You will be able to create and edit documents and photos, play games, surf the web all on a 5.8 inch screen that also allows you to run two different apps alongside each other,” he said.

    The new Smartphone runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and features a dual core processor, spacious internal storage along with up to 64GB expandable memory to store favorite apps, music videos, photos and more.

    The Samsung Galaxy Mega comes with a 24 – month standard warranty and is retailing at Sh35, 000 ($400).
