    Winners of the first Social Media Awards honored (The Full List)

    Today marks the D-day when the best individuals and organizations that stand out in social media in Uganda, were recognized, in a colorful event that took place at Oasis Hub. The best blogger Award was scooped by Beewol,  Entertainment writer award was taken been taken by Moses Serugo who managed to beat the likes of Ernest Bazanye.  NTV Uganda is the only company that took home two awards for News and Information category and best media outlet TV. Telecom giants and MTN and Airtel went home with Corporate Award and Best Customer Care respectively given the fact that they were also part of the sponsors of the awards in other categories.

    Anne Kansime’s win was no surprise

    40 days 40 smiles a campaign that was set to help the needy by contributing a brick or two to build a houses has been awarded the Best Campaign Award on Social media. The chaps at Kola studios also managed to pocket the innovation award for their famous fun mobile game Matatu. Uganda’s female YouTube celebrity Anne Kansime takes the favorite celebrity awards managing to beat big vocal names like Bebe Cool, Maurice Kiriya and Navio.
