    Official YouTube Windows Phone app returns after Microsoft and Google collaboration

    Early this year in May, Microsoft released its own home backed version of YouTube, which shortly after  Google forced Microsoft to remove the app sighting API violations and lack of Ads. Since then, the two tech Giants have been working together to create an updated application. According to The Verge, a Microsoft spokesperson confirms the app will be made available today.

    “We’ve released an updated YouTube app for Windows Phone that provides a greater experience our consumers expect while addressing the concerns Google expressed in May, including the addition of ads. Google’s support in ensuring that Windows Phones customers have a quality YouTube experience and look forward to continuing the collaboration.”

    Among the new app includes some new features like

    • Support for video upload, making it easy for Windows Phone users to upload content to the service
    • Ability to stream live video channels is now included.
    • Voice search and voice activation from the home screen have also been added for hands-free navigation.
    • Access to playlists, uploads, video lists
    • Ability to manage the profile page of a YouTube account.
    • Windows Phone users will be able to pin Live Tiles of videos, playlists, channels,
