Its not a bowl, its LG’s curved phone: The LG G Flex

Imagine a phone that would conform to perfectly in your back pocket, after several leaks , LG has announced official details of its curved-screen smartphone, the G Flex. The bowl shaped phone, utilizes flexible OLED screen technology to allow
for a striking curve on the horizontal axis it  weighs 177g, and has a whole 6-inch 720p display. Running the show inside is a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, and a generous 3,500 mAh battery.

Early this month Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Round smartphone, which also has a curved display, in the vertical axis. Just like the Galaxy Round, LG has some tricks it plays with it’s own screen technology. The G Flex does include a
“swing lock screen” feature, that moves the wallpaper in response to tilting motion and produces different unlocking effects when the user touches different areas of the screen. Another cool feature allows users pinch from the lock screen to open certain multimedia apps directly.

A self heal itself like Wolverine phone

Since the phone is curved so much at the back, the G Flex uses “self-healing” technology that the company equates to Wolverine from X-Men: ok lets come back to reality, LG simply uses a special protective film on the back cover that will prevent scratches on the phone within minutes. We wont believe that until we experiment on that ourselves so we don’t have any details of an international release yet.
