    Sony launches it’s latest Xperia E1 and T2 Ultra in East Africa

    Four days ago Sony announced  Xperia E1 and T2 Ultra and yesterday East Africa was graced with being one of the first markets the company has launched this latest Android Phones in an event that took place in Kenya.

    Sony decided to go two ways about it — creating both a high end, large-screened phone and a low budget small-screened phone, thus captivating both audiences.

    The first one is the four-inch music centric Xperia E1 which is a budget Android phone. Sony claims its 100Db speaker is loud enough that ‘even a motorcycle won’t interrupt your music’. It will also drown out practically every other sound around you. You will also have

    • A 800×480 resolution display, dual-core
    • Android 4.4 KitKat
    • 1.2GHz processor
    • 512MB of RAM
    • 4GB of storage space and MicroSD card slot
    • Single and dual SIM options
    • Available in black, white and purple colors

    The second phone is the Xperia T2 Ultra which is a huge six-inch phone (We won’t use the word Phablet) set to compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Mega. On the spec sheet we have:

    • A 720p screen
    • A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
    • 1GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel back camera, 1.1 megapixel front camera
    • 8GB of storage
    • Single and dual SIM options

    We can now see an avalanche of high end devices launch in East Africa, word is yet to be released on availability of the two phones as well as the price range but both phones are definitely worth the buy.
