    mAh (milliampere-hour) is a unit used to measure the capacity of a battery, indicating how much current the battery can deliver over a specific period. 

    Higher mAh ratings generally imply longer battery life, as the battery can supply more power before requiring a recharge. For instance, a smartphone with a 3000mAh battery can theoretically provide 3000 milliamperes of current for one hour or 1000 milliamperes for three hours.

    Removable batteries typically have lower capacities compared to non-removable batteries. The mAh capacity of removable batteries typically ranges from around 1500mAh to 3500mAh, depending on the specific model. 

    Users have the convenience of carrying spare batteries and easily swapping them out when the need arises.

    Non-removable batteries, on the other hand, have larger capacities, generally ranging from 3000mAh to 5000mAh or more. The higher capacity allows for longer usage durations between charges. 

    Non-removable batteries are integrated into the smartphone’s body, making them more compact and enabling sleeker designs.

    These incidents are typically caused by a phenomenon called thermal runaway, where excessive heat leads to the battery’s chemical reactions accelerating, resulting in an uncontrolled release of energy. 

    Several factors can contribute to thermal runaway, including manufacturing defects, physical damage to the battery, improper charging practices, or exposure to high temperatures.

    In the rare event of a battery-related incident, manufacturers typically investigate the root cause and take necessary actions, including recalls or product exchanges, to ensure consumer safety.
