Motorcycle-hailing app SafeBoda is slowly diversifying beyond just picking up passengers for ride. The company, which was revamped into a new look, recently added a feature that lets users buy airtime for themselves and their friends, and the latest addition is that you can now send parcels and packages using the app.
To send a package or parcel, there are just a few simple steps to follow.
Open your SafeBoda app, and tap the Send icon on the home screen. Thereafter, enter the delivery destination and the following details including the recipient’s contact and the package to be delivered. Then enter the pick up location your contact or the sender if it is not you.

With the ability to monitor an ongoing trip now in place, you will be able to track your package in the app as it is it moved to the destination. Key to note is that SEND trips can only be paid for using Cashless.
Additionally, you can now top up your cashless with a selection of the company’s riders. You just have to look out for any SafeBoda with a sticker on their helmets that reads ‘Top Up With Me‘ and simply exchange cash for cashless. You will be instantly topped up with no charges!
So, on top of having to ride cashless with little or no cash on you, using your SafeBoda credit to buy yourself airtime – while enjoying the discounts and promos that come with riding cashless, you can now also send packages to your loved ones safely using the SafeBoda app. You can also share with friends some of your cashless credit.
