Safeboda unveils a cashless riding campaign in partnership with MTN

For the past few years, SafeBoda has always partnered with MTN to promote its credit payments and a zero rating system for the app. The yello camp has once again partnered with the boda hailing leader to promote a cashless experience in Uganda through its Mobile Money service embedded in the SafeBoda app.

Through a Joint “I Found One” campaign which involves the search of SafeBoda’s driver No.1, riders will enjoy a proper sip of the inbuilt credit app feature with a 25% bonus on Mobile Money. However, this comes at a time when competitors like Uber boda unveiled insurance policies for both drivers & riders and Safeboda’s credit feature could be a win-win gateway to an insurance tap as well. By the same fashion, this means the boda hailing industry might beat the taxi hailing companions as a dominator in the industry since riders will now have multiple benefits incurred per trip in Kampala.

The Safeboda I found one campaign, How it works

During the launch of the I found one campaign yesterday, SafeBoda’s head of customer support Eunice Among unveiled the new credit campaign as a beneficial factor to customers relying on the MTN pulse network. However, lots of prizes await all those who get to meet the number 1 driver without any telecom restrictions imposed on all lucky riders. More so, the I found one promotion is SafeBoda’s new cashless experience where riders can benefit from riding with credit away from the ordinary cash procedures.

Through the SafeBoda app, users can top up credit by using MTN’s mobile money service as the ultimate path to a cashless (I found one) trip experience. Additionally, the app is Zero rated for Yello subscribers though other networks like Airtel and Africell as well offer the same credit purchase and browsing services off the safeBoda app. Henceforth, the credit riding experience is not restricted to Yello subscribers but instead a broad day push to all smartphone holders.
