    SafeBoda Digital Wallet: How to load your cashless account

    SafeBoda digital wallet keeps getting more cool features, in this growing cashless economy the updated SafeBoda app can now support top-ups via mobile money only. This month, the bike hailing company has unveiled a new method to top up your Cashless Safeboda account by handing the driver (bike owner) cash who then tops it up on your account at a zero cost.

    This means all Safeboda riders becomes agents of some sort and topping up your SafeBoda digital wallet free, which is not the same for mobile money that comes with which has transaction fees and taxes when you withdraw. This means customers won’t need to find a mobile money spot to first top up their account

    In order to load or use thus top-up method, a safeboda customer has to inform the rider that they want to load or top up with them. The rider will then initiate the transaction. They will then receive cash on their SafeBoda digital wallet account, this in turn will mean that the you must give the SafeBoda rider an equal amount of money in cash. This option has zero transaction costs and is convenient because it can be done before or after a trip.

    The SafeBoda digital wallet was launched in 2017, and depicts the company’s ambition to digitize the movement of money as it evolves into something bigger than a transportation app.

    So what are the benefits of SafeBoda Cashless? SafeBoda digital wallet offers more transactions and benefits exclusive to the Cashless customer. When the app is used, customers will enjoy some offers including: 4% cashback on all airtime transactions and 20% discounts on all rides.
