Are you out of airtime, have a low balance on your mobile wallet, and can’t find your way to any top up outlet? It can be a trying time that you can relate to not owning a smartphone. But you should worry no more, as there is another alternative in play already.

In the latest version of the SafeBoda App, you can now top up Airtime instantly! As long as you have enough credit on your SafeBoda wallet, you can get yourself and your friends as much airtime as you want.

All you need to do is tap the airtime icon on the home screen and: Enter recipient’s mobile number; Select amount to pay; Enter and confirm your Cashless PIN; and the amount will be deducted from your Cashless balance.

This option is a great innovation from the ride-hailing app, giving you a swift option to make calls and even buy data in the midst of your other activity – without moving an inch or spending any extra cent.

The addition is part of the latest version of SafeBoda that is more appealing and with a very bold outlook. The third version of the app has a new interface that has three main sections – SafeBoda, Orders, and My account; makes ordering for a SafeBoda more seamless and even interesting and simplifies topping up.

Additionally, you can now top up your cashless with a selection of the company’s riders. You just have to look out for any SafeBoda with a sticker on their helmets that reads ‘Top Up With Me‘ and simply exchange cash for cashless. You will be instantly topped up with no charges!

So, on top of having to ride cashless with little or no cash on you, you can now use your SafeBoda credit to buy yourself airtime – while enjoying the discounts and promos that come with riding cashless.
