You will soon be able to ID Live band music with this Shazam like app

Chilling out with your friends on a Saturday evening watching your favorite live band and all of a sudden an argument of which song or Album title that the band  is currently playing erupts, well worry no more. Gracenote has shown off an early prototype of an app that will help you settle your differences. Currently we use Music recognition apps like Shazam to tell us what’s playing on the radio or at the bar, but until now they can’t help us identify anything that’s being performed live.

We can see the App at work in the video above, and Grace-note says it’s now working to bring the live performance tracking technology to market sometime early next year.
