    You can now apply for a certificate of good conduct and police clearance certificate online

    Many Ugandans are going to the Middle East to seek employment and greener pastures, they are always required to have a certificate of good conduct from INTERPOL, you will always find many Ugandans sitting at the premises for long hours waiting to be attended to.

    Cognizant of the threat of the spread of COVID -19 and to minimize congestion at the Directorate of INTERPOL Headquarters’ which is mandated to issue certificates of good conduct, the Uganda Police Force is launching online services effective 17th May 2021.

    This is being done with aim of:
    • Reducing the overcrowding at the Directorate of INTERPOL and International Relations
    • Reducing the time spent in the process of acquiring the certificates of good conduct.
    • Helping the applicants to track and know the status of their applications.

    Only those booked for a specific date will be worked on. In case you miss appearing on the date you booked, you will be required to re-book for another date. The Police warns that those who will be found at or near the offices of Interpol on the dates not booked for will be arrested. On the day of the appointment, you will be required to come with the following documents;
    o Two (2) passport size photos
    o Two (2) copies of your National ID or Passport
    o Copy of application preview printed from the system
    o Copy of Receipt printed from the system


    The fees remain unchanged for the two certificates, that is UGX 76,000 for the certificate of good conduct and UGX 23,000 for the police clearance.

    Applicants from outside Uganda will follow a similar process with the online booking but the mode of payment is only by VISA or Master card for the $30.
    Then the applicant will have to send the original finger prints, scanned copy of the valid passport, scanned copy of the exit visa from Entebbe International Airport, an application letter addressed to Director INTERPOL and International Relations and a proof of payment e.g. copy of the payment receipt.
