    Yodime allows you pay for Yaka, Airtime, Pay TV and data bundles Online

    With online payments becoming a reality in Uganda, it was about time we to see home-brewed payment services keep cropping up, the latest entrant is Yodime. This is an online payment service where any registered member can pay for any utility bill at their own convenience.  You can pay for UMEME (Yaka), Airtime including telecoms like MTN, Airtel and Uganda telecom, buy Data bundles and also Pay-Tv services like StarTimes and Zuku. YoDime is a product of Egora limited which is an ICT based company majoring in areas of information technology (IT) innovations; they provide innovative solutions designed to help businesses in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya where they currently operate.

    The service also allows merchant accounts to enable them receive payments for whatever goods or services being sold, the payment options supported include MTN, Airtel and VISA. You are however warned that the transaction charges are prone to change depending on the amount of transactions being transacted. To use the service you have to register as either a merchant or register a personal account and you are good to go.

    For those having – services and or apps that you would like to hook into Yodime, there is a comprehensive guide to assist any developers that would want to intergrate with the YoDime API. It has been developed to handle both json and xml requests, in order to interact with this API the merchant must send his api credentials. You can try out and register for the service here.
