Would you pay to use Twitter at a charge of $2.99 a month?

Twitter blue is an upcoming subscription service from Twitter and that costs $2.99 a month, according to tipster Jane Manchun Wong’s tweet. Cnet says that in early May, the social site spoke of “an upcoming subscription offering we’re currently exploring,” in a blog post about Twitter’s acquisition of ad blocker Scroll.

But would you pay $2.99 per month for more twitter features? The tipster also said the service could have a tiered pricing model, with users who pay more getting more features to play with, and she said one of those features will be Collections, which will let you save favorite tweets in collections so you can locate them later.

There is no clear date when Twitter’s subscription service will be launched, but the company has tested features like undoing tweets (similar to deleting tweets), using Tweetdeck a dashboard app, and Super Follows, which would let users follow a creator or publisher while getting exclusive content. There’s also the Scroll technology, which could offer Twitter users an ad-free tweet-perusing experience.
