Once you update to version 2.19.11 for iOS, you should be able to choose a new private reply option in a group chat conversation. Unlike the previous standard Reply option which is visible to everyone in a group, the new update will allow you to restrict the message visibility to a certain contact.

Precisely, if you want to privately reply to a message in a group chat, you have to long press that message. The menu that pops up has a More option at the bottom which shows a number of options including Reply privately.

When you tap the Reply privately option, WhatsApp will automatically open the private chat with that contact. The message to which you are replying, and the group from which you are doing this will also be mentioned in that reply.

    Stickers to photos and videos

WhatsApp is also adding the ability to add a sticker to an edited photo or video that you want to send. You just have to tap on the smiley icon at the top, and the option for stickers will show.

You can choose the sticker and increase or decrease its size using your finger tips. You can also delete the sticker by pressing it and then dragging it towards the trash symbol.

    3D Touch to view status

Instead of viewing the entire story in the status bar, the latest version lets you use 3D Touch to get a preview of the Status/Story shared. You just have to long press a user’s name to give you a quick look at a story that has been uploaded.
