In the current version of WhatsApp, the settings menu is accessed by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. The new version will add a new button to the top left corner of the screen that will open the settings menu directly.

This new button is disguised as the user’s profile picture. When tapped, it will reveal a redesigned settings page with a large profile picture preview, the user’s account name, and a QR code shortcut. The menu items are also indented to the right, giving the menu a more spacious appearance.

The new settings menu is currently in beta testing, and it’s not clear when it will be rolled out to the public. However, it’s a welcome change that will make it easier for users to access the app’s settings.

Here are some of the benefits of the new settings menu:

    • It’s more convenient. Users no longer have to tap three dots in the top right corner of the screen to open the settings menu. They can simply tap the profile picture button in the top left corner.
    • It’s more visually appealing. The new settings menu is more spacious and easier to read.
    • It’s more customizable. Users will be able to change the order of the menu items and add or remove shortcuts.

Overall, the new settings menu is a welcome change that will make it easier for users to manage their WhatsApp accounts.
